TweetI know many (myself included) are not fans of using gear while training, but am considering some basic knee wraps for some stability during squats.
I am not a powerlifter, nor do I aspire to be. So I am not looking for stiff gear, just something for a little support. Fact of the matter is, my squats suck...really bad. I am ashamed to say that I barbell row (for reps) more than I can squat. I just can't go heavy, at all. I have been squatting for the past 18 mos and can't make progress, my knees are the weak point. I have tried a variety of routines, but the knees never get better.
At any rate, I was looking at the double black line wraps from Metal, they are the softest, entry level wraps. Does anyone have experience with these or similar? Any thoughts or comments would be great.
TweetIf I'm on a heavy kick, which I haven't been in awhile, I use them and they are a necessity for sure for stability. There is a reason power lifters use them. It would be knee suicide to not use them on massive lifts...especially as you age.
