TweetTime to get creative with everything! Great thread and thanks for the ideas!
TweetAnyone have any creative ways they are training at home now that so many gyms are closed? Tips and tricks? I've seen so many youtube videos of various bodybuilders coming up with creative ways to train.
One thing I've noticed is all the weights being sold out everywhere. At least in my neck of the woods. However, you can find chains. I went to a few hardware type stores in the area and bought different size chains to use in place of weights for certain exercises. That and various bands. John Meadows has a couple good videos on youtube with some band workouts for all of us who can't get to the gym and weren't able to acquire enough weights at home.

TweetYeah, just about everyone on YouTube is into these "Prison Workouts" now. Calisthenics is getting pretty popular on the outside.
Leaders did what others weren't willing to do, now they enjoy the things that others do not.

TweetI pulled out my hex dumbbells and 53lb kettle bell. Started remembering my hiit workouts I used to do. Also there is plenty of stuff on YouTube. Plus I have my old P90x videos...maybe I’ll get those out too. They’re not half bad. I remember getting a good workout from them as well

TweetI've been getting more and more creative with exercises and workouts using minimal equipment. I was actually able to acquire a few extra pieces for the garage. So far, I've been able to maintain pretty well, so can't complain.
It's funny, I've been checking online in my area for people selling gym equipment since everything is all sold out everywhere. It's like everyone who had two rusty ass dumbells in their garage for the past 10 years pulled them out and listed them online for $300 lol. People are ridiculous.
TweetWith many weeks in...how have you tweaked your training?

TweetSo far, I haven't been able to do anything fancy. Focusing on the 3 core lifts. Bench, squat and deadlift. Albeit, I don't have enough weight to go heavy on anything. I created a makeshift bench for bench presses. I have another cheap makeshift rack I can get under for squats and all I need for deadlifts is just my bar and some plates. Throw in some curls, skull crushers, laterals, barbell rows and I can maintain pretty well. High reps since I don't have very much weight.
TweetAmong other things, a bit of flexibility training and yoga. It's nice to feel flexible again haha
TweetI've actually taken this time to work on my flexibility a bit too. It's something I've been neglecting and I could really tell.
TweetIve been doing miles, on the tread mill, every day. It is a change up from my usual but it still is doing its' job and helping my head. Also got my mini tramp back out and bouncing around on that too

TweetI still have my P90X videos too ! And yes, you do get a great workout.
TweetYes there are lot's of tricks by the way u can be fit at your home. There are few
1. Attach your feet in your bed and make 20 sets of streching.
2. U can start push up with the help of your home's ground or u can go on the roof.
3. Do not eat oily food or u can make your effective diet chart.
TweetU can annihilate yourself with nothing but a doorway pullup bar, some pushup handles and a couple of medium pound dumbells
TweetWell then, just in my apartment with my personal coach via the internet.
