Tweetdoesnt matter because they never follow guidelines anyway. it's the nature of the beast. wait and see, the bikini girls are going to continue to get leaner, the physiques guy's upper bodies are going to keep growing and women's physique will end up on line with what smaller female bodybuilders used to be

TweetSo true because that is what we want to see. I love to see lean muscled chicks competing and I want to have a calendar on my wall filled with chicks I would love to look like. I will never be a bikini girl but I can aspire to be a lean women's physique girl.
TweetTo me someone symmetrical and condition like hell looks way better than someone whose just bigger.
TweetI like the mass monsters as long as they have some condition to match. And hopefully no palumboism. A little dissension is to be expected but I remember pictures of Greg kovacs looking plain horrible.
TweetArnold's day was the best physique's IMO they all look great.
TweetNow that they have the classic bodybuilding category there will now be something for everyone. I tease my friend who does men's physique by calling it "mens bikini".
TweetPhysique seems to be replacing bodybuilding in popularity. I got a flier for all the NPC shows in my state and it had pictures of physique guys all over it, but no bodybuilders. I was shocked. Of course I havent attended a show in 5 years, so I could be wrong, it just seems that physique is what people want to see now
Tweetyou may have 30-40 men's body builders in the big open shows now man. the jr usa's last year only had 3 guys in the super heavies. but pretty much across the board the number of men's body building on a local and state level it is way way down. now the men's physique classes have 30-60 in each class. hell i had a dude take 4th out of like 55 and was blown away he even got looked at because they were so many people in the class. it is insane

TweetI will agree that it isn't as packed at that npc show as it had been in the past. It used to end close to midnight but it was over at ten pm this year.
Tweethaha, brother i have been in the open and not went on stage until 2am before lol. that sucked gopher nuts and was years ago. i used to dread check ins and the long drawn out finals. i do miss all the competing against more people though. lots of the guys i have competed with over the years either stopped completely or transitioned over to physique. i got a guy i have coached in the past making the transition over to classic physique, so i will get a feel for the division.

TweetI attended the npc Grand Prix in ny in October and they saved physique for after they awarded all the other classes and the place emptied out as soon as they announced physique was next. But ny and especially by me is a big meathead area.
TweetAt 5'10" I just don't feel like I will look like a bodybuilder if I can't get into the 240 range.
Tweetmy client is 5ft 10 and looks nasty at 200 but then again he has very very short round muscle bellies and small joints. so i would say he is built for lighter end weight. i am like you i am also 5ft 10 and even in the 220s on stage i look small and stringy not to mention i havent been 200llbs in probably close to 20 years

TweetShit I'm a fairly lean 220 but if I dieted I would probably be closer to 200 on stage which I know would be better than the 176 I was ten years ago on stage but still would look small to me. I'd be semi-happy with the proportions of an offseason but still lean 240 would bring
