TweetOnly laid it down once hard, riding my 94 fzr600 at the time, some dumbfucker swerves into my lane directly in front of me and slams on the brakes to take a left turn. I braked hard, front and rear, just like we're taught, and would have pulled it out except for a drop-off and gravel where they were doing construction and the new pavement ended. Front tire buckled in the gravel, I went left and the bike went right. Fortunately there was no oncoming traffic, but it broke the gear casing on my bike, oil all over the place, had to push the thing home. First thing I put on my sportbikes now is titanium casings.
Scary thing is, I was in Indiana at the time, and there's no helmet law there. I just happened to be wearing a helmet because it was cold that morning
