Tweetare you training hard, getting enough protein? what test are you using, what were your gains till they stopped?
TweetGreetings,
I'm currently 195 lbs, 5'10'', with a bf low enough to see the outline of my abs and some slight lines between them when I flex. I've been running 500mg test for about 8 weeks now. My weight has plateud (sp). I get about 3500 -4000 calories per day, sometimes more. Do I just need to use a higher dose of Test? Say 750mg/wk? I'm starting to think that this is about the max my body is going to do with only 500mg a week. I've been plateud for about 4 weeks now. I don't want to raise my calories too much higher because I want to stay RELATIVELY lean during the summer.

TweetTest Enanthate. I'm training DISGUSTINGLY hard (but keeping it down to about 1 hour/workout, maybe 1h 15min), using 10 i.u. post workout of Humalog. My protein and carb intake are pretty damn high. I try and keep the fat on the lower side while bulking, so this leaves only protein and carbs to get other calories. I get AT LEAST 300g of protein a day, more like 400g or higher on most days. I started on a cycle of just Fina on December 18th, went a few weeks and then added test enanthate about 8 weeks ago. Went from 185 with a solid belly to 195 with ~8 less pounds of fat. So I can't complain about past gains, it's just I don't want to stop. I plan on staying on test for about 9 months out of the year. I also have SHITTY genetics, just for the record. I'm just asking if anyone thinks I should bump up to 750mg/wk to keep making "steroid like" gains? I don't mind upping my calories a little, but like I said, I want to stay relatively lean.
TweetThe reason most people cycle is that after about 12 weeks your not going to make 'steriod like gains'. If that was the case we would all use it for a year and be total freaks. Unfortunately it doesnt work that way. If your at week 8 then you can up it to 750 but I highly doubt you will see a marked improvement over just staying at 500.
If you plan on staying on test for 9 months then at week 12 or 14 I would cut back on the dosage and incorporate another building AS.
Also growing lean is almost easy if your diet is in check but from everyone I have known and read about after week 12-14 it becomes harder to continue to build muscle mass at that same rate.
TweetBy the way my genetics blow goats as well and I am all for low dosages. I dont however have any plan to get to freak status
TweetI somewhat disagree. The slower gains probably factor in, but I believe the main reason that 12 week cycles are common is because they are considered "safe." If staying on for longer periods of time isn't effective, then why do most of the beasts on this board, and the pros, do it?
