TweetI think Harbor Freight is pretty good. I dont know what the quality of their grinders are, but if you need something , like wire cutters , pliers, tarps etc its is the place to go. They are always cheaper than anywhere else.
TweetHow cheap are the tools here? I went in there today and they have a ton of stuff. I did hear that the reason their grinders and stuff are so cheap is because they have plastic gears and don't last.
Anyone use them before? What kind of luck did you have?

Yeah, even their air tools looked descent. But they had some welders in there pretty cheap as well. I was kind of curious what quality they were.
But as far as pliers, screwedrivers, etc..go, I will be buying stuff there. Who cares what brand it is when it's that cheap

TweetI have a bench grinder thats over a year old works great, I always buy my jacks there, Only stuff I dont like of theres is air tools and socket wrenches. Besides that its a great deal for the money.
TweetTheir hand tools are ok, but anything with moving parts is generally crappy.

TweetI had bought a grinder there a while back and it didn't last 10 minutes....literally. That's how I found out about the plastic gears in that one. Everything else looked pretty good so I thought I would see who has used other things from there.
Thanks

Tweethaha, I'll tell ya even if you dont like there other stuff which is def cheap for a reason. The jacks are high quality and a great value. I've used there jacks for years and kno many race teams that have used them for years as well with no issues.
Tweeti bought a 1/2" hammer drill and it worked for a several months then died. a dewalt or makita would not die. of course i can buy 8 harbor freight drills for the cost of a premium
TweetEven Dewalt is now owned by Black and Decker. Personally and i don't but many tools, i have had no issues with Dewalt.
