My new bike and "tude" !

TweetSo I spent alot of cash on this bike, it's one all the "other kids" had when I was growing up. I just said screw it and got one ! I found they still make them so I bought the frame and forks then tricked it out with all the other stuff and this is what I have. im tellin ya I really have gotten this drive lately to just make s#it happen. I've cut way back on all the bulls#it thats not doing anything for me and im just going for it now. everything I haven't done or regretted not doing,..done with. whole new attitude even more so now !! in six more years I'll be fifty for cryin out loud and I'll be damned if im going to be that person sitting on my ass all f#cked up and saying to myself "man, I wish I woulda done that when I was younger". my girlfriend thinks it's alot of money (sure it is) and I know my mom is gonna trip but ya know what I dont care anymore what people think or how much it's gonna cost me. thats why I've been bummed out and I am where I am. Im gonna look good this summer, I have a good job comming up, and im gonna just go out and do s#it and make things happen. im so f'ing done with other people telling me whether or when "im ready", quit going to Kempo for awhile cause of that too. im going to the gym, im going to solo climb Mt. Jefferson finally, race BMX, catch big fish and just enjoy the rest of my life by making me and other people happy and setting some examples...like I do.

TweetI remember when I had a 36 scrambler 36 I put mag wheels on it I got some tubular forks new v-neck handle bar a new sprocket and new brake lever because my sprocket was free wheel I loved that bike.

TweetYeah I figured what the heck, I allways wanted one when I was a kid so why not just go out and get one ? not like im all old and cant do any of that anymore. this thing is super lite at 32lbs and fast as hell ! matter of fact, after I get done poundin' this Bull-Nox im taking it into town to the gym. That tread on the tires is kickass. That is one of the better looking bikes I've ever seen. really. sweet! clean. very nice!

The way I live, and make moves. I will, and do, have regrets. But I'd much rather have regrets than a list of "I wish I woulda...". all day any day. Fly or fail, at least you gave it hell.

TweetHa, that's cool as hell! I had a Huffy back in da day that I went all out on...had all kinds of cool parts like plastic Tuff Wheels, Mongoose neck, Ashtabula chrome moly forks, big azz Shimano gears, etc. I had to modify most of the parts to work/fit the Huffy frame, so I learned a good lesson in fabrication. I rode that thing all through high school, and parted it out for sale before I left for the USAF after graduation.

TweetWow thanks everybody, I wasn't expecting that kinda response. that makes me feel really good ! yeah I had a Huffy too when all the popular well to do kids had all the cool bikes, thats why when I was thinking about something new and bikes came up I said screw it just go get one. it's funny how it seems kinda awkward riding it, like the feel and all probally cause I haven't rode one in 30 something years maby ? lol! again, thanks for all the good words everybody makes me feel rich knowing I have alot of friends.

TweetWell yeah, I mean I see guys our age some of'em limping around, slumped over a shopping cart in the market getting a twelve pak and some bolonga for dinner, pot bellied badly outta shape and coughing like they have TB, or just beat to hell and done looking from hard work and raising a family for so many years and then what ? I dont want to be that guy ! I dunno I just been really thinking about doing more with my life,..somehow,..and on a buget lol! in five more years I'll be fifty. I mean im not a brokedi(k yet but im sure im not like I was when I was in my twenties, I have had two knee surgeries, consumed a lotta toxins for too many years and have this "bad blood" thing going on. I would go nuts and be one cranky a$$hole if I couldn't move around well anymore, when something bothers me (money, rain everyday, whatever, I allways look back and remind myself at how lucky I am to not have any major physical/mental issues. I've slacked alot but I made a promise that from this year on im going to really put all of my effort into making the most of everything while I can, without too many limits on myself considering.
