TweetHALF OF THE 80'S AND ALL OF THE 90'S WERE COOL TO ME
TweetSeriously. Everything was better. I was born in 79' and grew up in the early 80's...and I enjoyed every bit of it. Everything was better. Life didn't have much pressure like we have today. Even though we were not developed like we are today when it comes to technology etc life was fun. Everything was just better.
I enjoyed watching MTV where they had actual music instead of reality friggin show all day long...watching 16 yerolds getting $100.000 cars for their sweet 16 birthday and bunch of other BS. Leave it to Beaver owns entire shows that we have today.
Agree or disagree ?

TweetI don't think things were all that different from now, it is just that we are now bombarded with information, news especially, all of it negative. All the same bad stuf happened then as now, also the fact that we were younger, everything looks golden in our youth. Ask anyone from any generation and they always look back to their youth as their golden age, and things are always worse now then it was then. I loved the 80s and 90's for the most part in the 80's all the best cartoons and toys, 90's was my bobdybuilding era when I really lived this lifestyle, but i must admit I was oblivious to almost anything that was not in my immediate attention. I remember the war in Yugoslavia, really never paid to much attention to it, then years later I looked into it, it was horrible so like I said it is the fact that we have so much information at out finger tips, and the media loves to report "bad" news, we see today as worse than yesterday!
Tweethuh...naaaa, it WAS better!

TweetWhat's crazy is I enjoy the hell out of alot of that cheap 80s music now.
Tweet80's and 90's were cool, but I always thought it would be awesome to live in the 50's. With my current salary of course, lol!
TweetI was born in 66 and yes, things are different. there wasn't as much private property and sub f'ing divisions everywhere, a schoolfight was settled after class outside not bringing a slew guns and slaughtering innocent people, bands sang about having a goodtime and chasing puddy, you where legaly given the privilege of an ass whoopin when you did wrong, no drive by's, no graffitti on EVERYTHING ! but number one would have to be the fact of how impersonal and lazy people are,..I mean really, everythng is done by text or the push of a button. the list goes on as I myself think of how cool things where quite often as I age,..especially when I look at a child and wonder,..wow I cant imagine what things will be like for you in fortyone years or so.

TweetI was born in the early 60's, grew up in the 70's, the rest is history.
It was alot easier to repair cars in the 60's and 70's because parts were interchangeable. You can take the starter off of a Buick to put on your Oldsmobile in a matter of minutes. You can remove a Chevy TH 350 trans in a half hour and put another back in within minutes.
By 1977, most of General Motors vehicle got smaller and more complicated. Today, you can't even change the spark plugs on a car without having to remove the engine first.
Engines were make of cast iron in the 60's and 70's. Today, they're mostly aluminum.
Tweeti go to 80's night at the bars and its a good time. ahhh, the good ol'days!
TweetOh hell yeah for the 80's !

Tweet80s and 90s better for sure, but id rather live in the 1780s or 90s..less societal pressure, less stress, no reason to be self concious etc (think about the number of depressed and anxious people)..
put me on an island with friends and family and im good..i think greed has detroyed our world and the way we live..the indians had it right.

TweetAbsolutely the 80's were better! Hell the 90's were too! I dont know about everyone else but my whole friggin life revolves around so many stressors it is crazy. I make a decent salary but gotta worry about money alot...If it's not one thing it's another and to top it all off, $3.08 gasoline is complete bull$hit. Too much political crap affecting the economy etc., terrorism, housing slumps, pain in the a$$ to get on a plane and go on vacation due to all the security measures, I need a damn passport to go to Rocky Point now, the chevy dealer charges 90 bucks an hour to work on my computerized pile of crap blazer, daycare for my son is $200/wk etc etc etc. We can put a friggin man on the damn moon but cant have a cell phone that wont drop every other call? God I think I need counseling...
I guess this should have been in the FU Friday threat lol
