TweetA 14 year old opened fire at a school in Cleveland today. As of right now the reports say that there were two adults and three kids shot but none are dead. The 14 year old shooter has been killed.

What's up with all these kids shooting people at school. What ever happened to good old fashioned skipping school or smoking in the boys room? Nowadays the bad kids shoot people.

My wife is a teacher in a rural farming-type community, and today they were on lockdown all morning because some kid brought a weapon. They don't know who or what because the other kids are not telling. What kind of **** is that? TweetI saw the pics of the kid who did the shooting, I am guessing he was constantly picked on. He dressed goth and had very little friends. I am guessing he got picked on daily before the fight that got him expended from school and he thought that was the only way to get respect and to teach the others a lesson...I am sure some of you remember how mean kids can be and today if you are picked on at school if you turn them in it just gets worse.

Parents should have been watching him better and teachers should have been monitoring their students better.

they interviewed one of the students and the kid spoke in slang, so much for a good education. Something is wrong with the school system and our parenting skills to let these kids get picked on or to be bullies and allow them to go so far.

question is what should be done??? This was not the first and will not be the last...

Parenting, what parenting, they are ****ed up, well too bad we stereotype everyone for some ****ed up idiots. He could have the best parents in the world but that asshole is ****ed, many by what, gangsta's rap, Queer Manson.

Hell, look at our society when kids are looking at a symbol and what they see is what they have on TV, sex, violence and sex. and we wonder "why" but always says it comes to good parenting. When the society will say "HEY its enough!!!! of that crap, and ask back to good old values!!!!!!" When when and when?

I think you hit the nail on the head. Parenting today isn't even close to the way it was even when we were kids. I was taught respect, discipline, and that there were repurcussions for your actions. I was also taught compassion and caring for others. Most important thing there being that I was "taught". These days a lot of parents are too busy or don't want to be bothered. If they would just give parenting a shot they would see it is the absolute most rewarding job they can do. I have really good kids. I truely believe that they are that way because we show them boundaries yet do it in a loving way. Don't get me wrong, my son gets his share of spankings but we spend a lot more time loving him than we do spanking and in turn the spankings have decreased.

On the other hand, my neighbors yell at their kid, call him a moron, and just treat him poorly. He is a terrible kid. I'm no pshycologist but there has to be a correlation there.
