Tweetwhats happening Kenzie?
TweetIs there anyone here that has blood sugar issues? I'm having some probs after a.m. cardio and I believe it could be low blood sugar.
Tweetwhats happening Kenzie?
TweetI have a tendancy to go hypo if I'm not careful. You doin cardio on an empty stomach?
Tweet^ yep....but I always have. I have a positive family history for diabetes.
anyways....a.m. cardio on an empty stomach as per usual....maybe 10 mins afterwards I become dizzy, forgetful, tingly, shaky, increased urination (even after doing sprints on the beach/sweatin my tookus off). I was just wondering if its my sugar ??
I dont know why this is happening now??? I guess I'll have to start having an a.m. snack beforehand?
TweetIt sounds like you may be gettin a tad hypo to me. I would hit a protein bar or some peanut butter, somethin like that before am cardio and see if it helps. If not, you'll know to look further. Good luck.
TweetI do the exact same thing after training (weights or cardio). I have to get some carbs in IMMEDIATELY afterwards or I will fall out.
But I do eat about an hour to hour and a half before weight training so go figure..

TweetI've tried cardio in the afternoon after work and a meal and was fine...but a.m. cardio is more convenient for me.
I was just curious if anyone else had anything else to share.
TweetWhat if you bought one of those little gadgets that have a strip in them..... and test your blood right after training/cardio?
TweetI could probably test it at work/hospital or go to my dad's and test it. I'm hoping to avoid the whole situation altogether.
TweetGeez I hope thats not the issue Mc. it's been a problem in my family too, like everyone cept me and my mom have it...so far. I gotta coupon for a free glucose monitor I should go get it.

TweetMck. my gf has had the exact same issues in the past. I almost had to force feed her some type of food before she goes and does cardio. It has helped her though.
TweetI'm hypoglycemic, but i control it well except when i am stressed then it drops much easier.
Every hypo reacts differently to diff foods. The first thing i would look at is what you ate the night before and the time you ate it and activity level between last meal and bed.
Hope all is well
TweetIt does help SE....I was hoping for some good info/tips, etc. thanks and hope everything is goin well for you and Mrs. SE
