Tweetlike the taste of charcoal but the ease of gas. I grill salmon all the time. I do mine by putting a decent amount of lemon juice on it and then a heavy coating of old bay and let marinate for a min of 2 hours then grill

Tweetexpensive gas grills are my fav, charcoal 2nd, but cheap gas grills suck I hate them

TweetWell, for taste, I like charcoal best but for ease I like gas. So, I own a gas grill. lol
For Salmon it's best to wrap it in aluminum when grilling. What I like to do is get some limes or lemons and slice them up. Then, I lay the slices on the top of the salmon then wrap it in aluminum. You can also do rosemary and olive oil. When usuing herbs I've have found you need an oil to pull the flavor into the meat. But, I still prefer the lime or lemon when dealing with fish. Or, get a good rub. There are some awesome dry rubs for fish. With the aluminum wrap, put a little bitty bit of water in when you wrap it up. The water will evaporate and stay in the wrapping to keep the fish from drying out on the edges. Also, with fish, never turn the heat up too high, it will over cook the bottom and leave the middle uncooked. You want to stay at medium or put it on the top rack when at higher temps.
