TweetI used to do each group on a different day, but im trying a new routine with all my pushing exercizes on one day and pulling on the next.
TweetWhats with this? I see so many men and women at my gym going from machine to machine doing every muscle in thier body on the same day. Are they really all that unknowledgeable? I feel like walking up to this one guy and just ask what he thinks hes doing.

Tweetbasically, they don't know how to train properly.
TweetI know people that train their whole body because they can only get into the gym once are twice a week its better then nothing...
TweetBasically when I see people training in a fashion that I feel isn`t as efficent as it could be I try to remind myself that at least they are in the gym and give the unknowlegeable trainer respect for showing up if nothing else.
TweetI was going to say the same thing. there is nothing wrong with it if lets say they do it mon and thur. Runners do it all the time and the thermogenic afterburn of such a workout is greater than one of lets say 2 muscle groups.Originally Posted by Merc

TweetYeah I guess you guys are correct, at least they're in the gym.
Tweetand they are getting something done, even if it doesn't coincide with your beliefs on training.
TweetIf memory serves i thought that 3 full body workouts a week was the way a novice was supposed to train for say the first 6 months. I still have one of the charts i used to use around here somewhere. Very low volume moderate weight focusing on building a base. I made good gains doing this. I cant believe that anyone would start weight training working out 4 or 5 days a week. Sounds like a good way to get nowhere to me.
TweetOk I said you were right.Originally Posted by NATE

For some reason many people don't take the time to research things before they start out.
Tweetits always good to do somethng , its better than nothing.
