Car payment question

TweetWhat's the most you would pay for on a vehicle? Now let me clarify this a bit. Make and model doesn't matter and has to be within YOUR reach(meaning not buying a Gembala Porsche)....I'll explain my view after I read some responses

Tweetto honest my last buy was a 04 honda pilot and now a days they is not much romm for haggleing... they don't care most foreign car dealers know if you don't buy the next person will... i mean they is always the small "internet price" deals they advertise sometimes... i just know i wrote a check for close to 32k and yes i cried when i saw that number i had written on the line ...but heck i love not haveing car payment

TweetWell I own my 2004 TSX and i want to trade it for something It's a 2005(I'll tell in a bit) Jap car(my fav of all time) and they have a couple of them left. I love not having a car payment and I COULD afford the car I want; but the question is.......? Do I really need the car right now since I do have a nice car....? hmmmm....My mother tells me I'm fucking nuts, my GF said the same, her family said go for it if I want it(my own splurge) and my mind said hell yea But I honestly think I should wait....

But, if i spend 499. per month that is 6K per yr 18K total for the term. I don't give shit about trade in value, because i have to invest it back into a new car later. What matter is total investment versa potential loss in interest. Now if your going to make payments on a throw away car, i wouldn't go more than say $250. I would never make payments on a owned car. Either lease or buy cash. If you buy and then make payments, you loose the most.

Only reason I would do this is to bring payments down...I know this is just something that's in my head and I would have to seriously think about it.

I've always wanted an NSX-T Acura(some will say fuck that, get a vette/viper...lol...whatever) but I was saving money for a bike this year and my GF said it's a no if we plan on staying together and settling down; so I have to do that, not just for her but for my family.


Right now I'm at a point in my life that I want to give myself something of all the hard work I've done in these past few years.....Just a thought about the car, but a good thought that I'm going back on Saturday with my GF to see the car again.
