Wow, sometimes I don't feel to smart!

TweetSo I bought my house January of this year. About 3 months ago I noticed that some of my tree's had fruit on them. I examined them and looked for pictures of them online. I was convinced they were limes. So I picked one and ate it. The taste was okay, nothing special. So we've used a couple in some recipes for the past few months.

Today I went to pick another "LIME" and noticed they are no longer green. Now they are yellow and some are turning yellow. After smelling it and cutting it open I now realised that I have a lemon tree. Kind of cool. But man do I feel like a moron for eating lemons that aren't ripe for a few months!

My dad has some fruit trees, the newest one is a kumquat (sp?) tree. We opened one up and it was FULL of seeds. I passed on it tho.

TweetHAHA, my neighbors said I have a peach tree but for some reason not one leaf grew on it this year. I'm hoping it's on of those tree's that only grows every other season.

Speaking of squirrels there is this one that screams, and chatters at my cats. He's a psychopath. The thing ran up and jumped on my screened patio and hung on it. My cats wanted to rip that thing apart. These squirrels have got some balls down here!
