Tweetmaybe he has a build up of fluid or something....
Tweethas it been going on long, and has he seen a doc....if not then he should if it is bad and has been going on a long time
TweetIt's about proper breathing techniques, I bet you he's holding his breath on the heavy lifts and I also bet you his face is beat red when he's trying to pop those ears. Tell him to go light and practice inhaling and exhaling during his lifts.

BTW....If you're wondering where the other thread went I just merge them together
Tweetdoes he have this all the time even when not working out? if so he might have fluid build up, and should see a doc about it...
TweetHe may also have bad alergies. That combined with what Aragorn said would be enough to cause those kinds of symptoms. I'm not a doc though, so I'd tell him to go see one asap.
Tweetyah, i monitored his breathing technique on our lifts today and he seemed to be doing everything well. because that was my first response, was "breathe then man" but he still had his problemOriginally posted by Aragorn

no only when we hit the gym, and he doesn't get them when we play basketball, only pressing and lifting heavy things - so it can't be excercised inducedOriginally posted by bigjim33

Tweetif everything seems normal tell him to see a doc to be safe
TweetHave him get the ear wax cleaned out of his ears. Have a Doc clean his ears.

TweetDoes it only happen when he lifts (hard) ? What about when he's not in the gym? this could be whats called (barotitis media) which is unequal pressure in the middle ear because of the closure of the eustachian tube. (the tube from the middle ear to the throat that allows for compensation in pressure changes). usually this fullness increases with some pain and vertigo. Maby he's tryin too hard to keep up with ya ? Maby use a lighter weight and get his form down. Hope that helped a lil bro.
TweetHmmm...see a doc.
