  • Heating a house without electricity?

    I have no power until saturday and its freezing. Someone mentioned a propane heater? What is that? Is that safe to use indoors? I dont want to get carbon minoxide and croke off LOL...anyon ehave any suggestions of maybe something at walmart?

    Cheapest way out for cold and snow would be a night at the hotel..
    Cost wise your about the same and it's only a night or 2.

      Yes, I had a hotel reservation and my power just came back on! Whew. Finally.

          we used a kerosene heater growing up. i dont know if they still make and use those things but you could use it in doors with no issues other than the chance you might burn your house down.

              My father in law used a propane heater in his bedroom as it was so expensive to heat the whole house and it was just him.

                I had no idea you could use a propane heater indoors. I will remember that the next time this happens. I could see how someone could die of hypothermia in their own home. I was shivering like crazy.
