TweetThis is why homeowners have insurance. You call your attorney, and sue her. I would expect nothing less if my dog got out and bit someone.
TweetF#CK!!!
Animal cruelty charges to be exact.
Here's what happened:
Work wants my to pay like $240 a year for parking. I said screw it, I'll just park a few blocks away and walk. It's only a 10min walk and is kinda nice first thing in the morning (cept them damn Cdn winters).
Anyway, there's this one house that has this little piece of sh!t yappy dog fenced in the front yard. Every day this thing goes nuts barking and stuff when I walk by. Very annoying, and it's scarred me a couple of times cause it's first thing in the AM and I'm often daydreaming.
Well, this morning the dog somehow got out. I'm not sure if the fence was open or it somehow got through. So this morning, I'm confronted by the dog and it's on my side of the fence.
Naturally, the little piece of sh!t goes straight at me and starts chomping down on the back of my pantleg and leg. So I manage to shake the thing off and am yelling at it and stuff. I'm lugging my laptop and lunch and I refuse to run away from a 1ft tall dog.
Meanwhile the stupid ass old lady owner hears the comotion and comes outside. The old wench starts calling her dog, and the stupid thing just ignores her. So she just sorta stands there looking pathetic and doing virtually nothing.
Finally I manage to shake the dog off again. And as I'm standing there, both pantlegs ripped and 1 leg bleeding pretty good the dog comes around for another go.
Well, I wasn't having none of it. So as the dog came at me, I punted that little f#(ker like a football. I've got to admit, I hit it harder than I ment to. The little thing flew like 10 feet...
Well, that took the steam out of the dog, and put it right in that old lady. I was pissed by that point and told her straight up "F#ck you. I'm going to get my leg looked at. Here's my business card, call me if you'd like to talk calmly." She just kept yelling at me and told me she was going to call the police and press charges. I just laughed and kept walking.
Luckily I work at a hospital . First thing I did was get my co-workers to take pics of my leg and pantlegs. Then I went down to the ER.
It's not bad. Just a couple of teeth holes and some deep scratches. No stiches needed, but I did have to get a rabies shot or whatever that was. They were mostly worried about infection and it hurt like a ***** when they cleaned it out. I also got a copy of the doctors report thingy.
I really hope this lady doesn't press charges. I'm not worried about getting charged, I was in the right and have proof the dog attacked me. It's just a huge ordeal and a pain in the ass to go through.
F#cken yappy little dogs and their yappy b!tch owners!

Sounds like the little guy got the best of you.
Tweetsue, it's her fault for having the dog outside her fence ...
TweetPet owners are obligated to keep their animals from injuring innocent parties. I would have shot the dog dead on the sidewalk. But that's because I'm an animal lover.
TweetDo you think the native american background is the root of our love for animals?Originally posted by blm9376
That sucks. Her case wouldn't hold water in court, but it definitely would be an inconvenience. At that point as much as I love animals, I would have done the same thing.
TweetYou should have had a tetnus shot.
Rabies are given in series.. double check on what you were given.
Tweetbut if you kick my ankle biter i'm getting, there'll be hell to pay ...
Tweeti must love animals as much as you do, because i would have been scared for my life and shot him on the spot and then the woman too for giving me a hard time ...Originally posted by Auriflex

well, maybe not the woman, but definitely the dog ...
Tweetshe cant put charge
- she did not respect her civic locak code that mean keep the dog secure.
- she was irresponsible to keep the dog to harm others
- her dog attacked you, it is your right and you can ask the local authorities to check on him for disease
SHE fucked not you
three doodoo is back! Hide your women!
TweetAuriflex is right. Call an atorney. It's she who should be worried. You could also get that dog put down, especially since it drew blood.
I'd take the initiave if I were you and report her to the police.
That way, your version gets put on the police report. And some time down the road you'll probably a settlement check from her insurance.
Ahh, what did the dog sound like when you punted it?
Tweetpoor little ankle biter, he was only protecting his territory. I would just forget about it unless your injuries are bad, maybe you could sue her for the medical bills, but I wouldn't try to get the dog put down or anything, the old lady probably loves that dog.
Tweetit's not america, it's canda ...
TweetI know what you mean about the hassle of police reports, court, etc. I think after someone tells her that if she tries to press charges, they may find her guilty of - this is the term they use in NY "animal at large". I paid a couple of fines when my doberman jumped out the window of my car when I was getting on the expressway. The animal control people fined me, I had to buy a license, and I had to appear in court for another $60-$80 dollars.
Usually by law you are required to keep your animal under control at all times, ie: leashed or fenced in property.
So be sure that you are makin the best of what that you have
the truth is all within yourself
TweetI think it was a tetnus shot, Thanks Sachet. I just remember asking them if it was "like a rabies shot".
I'm not going to sue her. Shit happens and you can't always controll your pets. My moms dog is great, but once he bit a mailman because another dog got him worked up. He's not agressive at all, but this one time he did bite. I never would have thought it could happen, he's such a nice dog. The mailman was nice enough to accept my moms apology and some cookies she'd baked. She promised to never let it happen again, and it hasn't. If that mailman had pressed charges, my mom would have had to put her dog down.
Besides a sore leg and a torn pair of pants I'm no worse for wear.
But! If that ***** old lady does take me to court. I WILL countersue.
