    A new statement from the American Heart Association recommends children aged 2-18 limit their added sugar intake to fewer than 6 teaspoons a day.

    I think people do consume too much sugar, but 6 teaspoons would be hard to adhere to for most. There's about 4 grams of sugar in one teaspoon, so they're saying no more than 24 grams of added sugar per day. One Gatorade and you would be over lol.

      i agree that it is bad. sugar is a main contributor in obesity. it is the devil.
