Christopherms story about his grandfathers truck has made me rethink about my great grandfather. his war medals where sold by someone in my family. One of my uncles wifes sold everything he owned including my great grandfathers war medals and then killed herself. We have no idea where they went. His story is quite impressive. He fought in WWII 2 as well as all 3 of his brothers. Amazinhly ALL 4 fo them came back alive, that is un heard of in WWII. He was injured severly by a machine gun. He pushed on and moved his soldiers to safety. He was awarded a purple heart and a silver star among others. It would mean a lot to my family if i could get those medals back. Is this even possible or is all hope lost? his medals where sold off maybe 10 years ago if not more.

their are tons of places out there sfg. google it man. some types of medals are restricted though and will require a citation such as the purple heart. what we did for my grand father was a shadow box. we put an order in for all his medals in a display case. then we built one out of his original medals over and old blouse left breast picket. they both came out really sweet.TGBSupplements REP

I remember growing up the Purple Heart medal and a photo was all we had as a memory of my uncle. Then the medal was lost. After a lot of searching, my dad was able to purchase an exact replica of it. Good luck. Hope you can do the same. Should be a lot easier thanks to the internet.
