there is a guy at work who has horrible breath. i like this guy, he is good people but damn when he talks to me i have to suppress gagging. he is not a dirty guy and has good hygiene (we went to a conference out of town before so i know he brushes)

so i keep gum at my desk. every morning before work he comes over and we B.S. he has gotten in the habit of taking a stick of gum without asking.

should i tell him to get his own damn gum or just continue to supply the gum for my own comfort. (it does work well and i would have gum anyway for after coffee)

Let him take the gum, or you will suffer, lol! He probably has stomach issues. If he doesnt than brushing is not going to cure the odor. Also, if someones mouth is dry from meds or health issues, the breath will stink too!

Thanks unclem!!! Lots of what I know comes from experience, but I am always reading and learning new things. I don't have a lot of trust in doctors so I do my own research. Sometimes I have helped myself more than any doctor has, but I wasn't able to do any of my own surgeries, lol!

              Re: bad breath

Ya keep giving him free gum. Nothing worse than having to talk to someone with bad breath. It is gross. I haVE HAD people walk into my office and their breath is so bad i have to spray Lysol to get rid of the stench when they leave LOL...

i'd keep having the gum available for him. shows you're above making the guy feel bad about himself. hopefully a family member or other loved one will step up to the plate

                    Re: bad breath

I'd certainly keep giving him gum. I've had people come talk to me at work and I can't concentrate on anything they're saying because their breath stinks so bad. Then you start the bad breath tango. I move to get out of breath range, and they move closer because they think you can't hear what they're saying. I move, they move, I move, they move. Man that sucks.
