Tweetsadly, its very common
TweetOne of my boys, that is serving a tour over in Iraq, just found out his wife has been cheating on him. WTF is wrong with people. I can't even imagine how hard it would be to be away from home at war and get that kind of phucking information.
Tweetsadly, its very common
Tweetwhen i was in the military i would say MOST wifes cheated on there husbands while they were overseas..we lived in basehousing and were sickened by the ladies left home who had men coming over at all hours of the night....and as a sargeant, i had to deal with it regularly as my troops would come home and find out and need someone to talk to
TweetAs much as it is messed up if you look at it from the femaled view - they may indeed know its wrong and may very well be shameful of it but it would have to be a very, very stressful situation for them as well as the boys overseas - it could be a way out of thinking of it all and everything that goes with it.
I'm not defending it in any way but until you're in their shoes it's hard hold judgement.
It's still a messed up thing. Add to it that most of the couples are very young anyway.
The whole war thing is just pityfull in every way shape and form.

TweetOne of my friend's husband went over for a 6 month tour, while he was gone, she moved in a 24 yr old enlisted fella that rode in the horse calvary for funerals at the National Cemetery in Arlington. Her hubby found out, obviously, and got the guy in a lot of trouble (rightly so). He came back on emergency family leave and she then filed for divorce. You have to be separated for a year in VA so she put the date as the date when hubby left. Oh - I forgot to add - she has 2 kids. Well, 4 years later, she is shacking up with a former drug addict, cant pay any of her bills and is a mess. On the other hand, he has met a wonderful woman that just moved in with him last year and they are very happy. She didnt do it because she was lonely. She did it because she felt he abandoned her. So sad. All the way around.
Tweet^^ karma, what goes around comes around

I LOVE BOOBOOKITTY...
Tweetplus when i was in the military you could not believe the couples that get married after just meeting for a few weeks....some young men see this as a way to get out of the barracks and get to live off base/post...most those marriages were doomed from the start
TweetSorry to hear that, when i went to the Gulf War my troops were getting this info and getting divorce papers....what a mess it was,one guy's wife even tried committing suicide. Age and maturity had alot to do with it.Then there were the wives getting back at hubby for bangin all the Philipino gals when we were deployed in the far east.
TweetVery true. I had a few bros and family go into the services and this is what happened. Young men leaving family and friends behind and then for what ever reason they feel the need to get married to women they've met sometimes with in only a years or two time of knowing them. Obvioulsy a big bonus to marriage is extra income and housing.
Tweeti think these guys would shit theirselves when these husbands come back from iraq
TweetI've been out of the military for over 20 years and this was happening then. If you hit the clubs when a task force went out it was easy pickings. west coast they were called WESTPAC widows , East coast they were MED Cruise Mama's. Its been happening as long as theres been a military, it has nothing to do with moral's being lower now. It is not nice, but it is a fact. J.R.
TweetThat's part of the reason my parents split when I was young, my dad was inducted to Vietnam when I was only about 8 months old (he had turned 20 a few months before he was drafted). From what I was told, it was actually mutual, they both cheated on each other. They divorced shortly after he got back from his tour of duty.
TweetSame for my folks. My dad was on TDY and my mom cheated on him. They divorced when I was 9 months.
