TweetWhat are you puttin' in yer stomach prior ? I used to feel the same thing,..now I just feel a lil worn but really assertive and horny.LOL Probally natural bra, jus take a lil cat nap.
TweetDoes anybody else get real tired after training? I have been this way really since I can remember, after im done training I take my pwo drinks and anti oxidants etc... but after about an hour or so im dead tired. The rest of the day im fine, have energy all that good stuff but after i train no matter what time of day I get pretty fatigued and feel like I need a nap. I dont do long workouts either 45mins-1 hour 4x week. I try and bust my ass when im in there though. Any thoughts? Just natural response from my body or what? Obviously the body requires rest after the stress but does anybody else experience what I am talking about?

TweetWell, IMO, if you felt like you could go a whole other round I'd have to say you didn't work hard enough. The trick is to fatigue whatever muscles you worked. Those msucles are going to start sucking every bit of glucose they can out of the blood stream to start recovery. So, if you worked hard then it makes sense.
Your preworkout meal should be something with low glycemic index carbs. That means something that converts slowly, this way you get an extended release of glucose. If you eat or drink high glycemic index carbs before then there will be little glucose present in the blood stream at the end of your workout. This will result in fatigue.
TweetI feel the same way as you bro, and I know I'm fueling myself properly. When you put all you got into your workout your simply going to tired after it.
Tweetbro after i workout me and my bro thats it !! no way could i work or etc.. i hear people sy they workout then goto work not me no way!

TweetYour body's taxed out after a hard routine, so its pretty normal to feel tired, I know I do. I lift right after work at night, then go home and eat and hit the sack not long afterwards.
TweetI take b-12 and i take the amped by met-rx during workouts. Off and on ill take the albuterol also. Help with the energy. also do you do any cardio?
Tweetmick i do no cardio AT ALL

TweetI usually feel totally energized for about an hour after. After that I just want to relax because I'm tired.
TweetYou could be overtaining and your body is trying to tell you it needs to rest. Also, if you're on a cycle it could be lathargy which is a common side effect while on. I get it bad at times too.

TweetYES! I was actually going to ask the same question... is it normal? I'll come home and feel like taking a nap anywhere (couch, floor, sometimes high school style with my head down on my desk..lol). I've tried all kinds of things to see wtf it is. I've tried caffeine pills before my workout, that blue-thunder post workout drink which has caffeine in it, eating before and after the workout etc... Nothing works but a 15-20 min cat nap. I hope it's normal. I bought a book called "Power Sleep" by Dr. James B. Maas. I haven't started reading it yet but I'm anxious to learn more about sleep and how it affects us. Best of luck bro and I feel ya man.Originally Posted by Equalizer
TweetYou know what would be funny....If you came home from lifting and started to read your new book "Power Sleep" and you fell asleep with your face in the book. HAHAHAOriginally Posted by Blackfoot
