TweetActually, the song I always dreamed of posing to was Van Halen's "Right Now". The very beginning of the song is an amazing pose beat. You can hit some major poses. Try it.

TweetNever though of that song either but it would be a damn fine one to use.
I pose to slower music but I can't get into anything heavy personally anyway.
So it's very hard to find something I like that has a very hard line to it.
Last routine I posed to was a Jack Johnson song.
Just find something that moves you that you can hit poses to well.
BTW - how many times have you competed or how often?

TweetI did one show about 6 years ago when I was 20..HAD NO CLUE what I was doing and got 2nd, was a college show. This one I will be ready and prepared and have a good group helping me. Im actually diggin the Van Halen song....
TweetIt tough to say bro. There are some songs that some people can pull off that others cant. For me, I like the guys who are the most creative with their routine. The music helps, but even the best music with a boring routine messes it up. I guess it would help to know what your routine is like. I personally am a bigger fan of the old school slower moves with longer holds of poses. The guys that would flex every muscle envolved from one pose to the next, they just made it look so smooth. Now, you get robots and break dancing and stuff like that. Not that it's not entertaining, but let's face it, those guys never take the overall in most cases.
TweetI've only done a couple myself.
I am dieting for one right now but I just wish I would have gotten more out of this 'offseason'.
Such is life I suspect.
Good luck and keep us posted in the pic forum.

BINGO!! That is my plan, at 235 or so on stage im not going to be doing any fancy sh it or the splits or flips....lol, just classic slow poses with longer holds to show better poses, not a bunch of hurry up stuff just to show a bunch of stuff off. Thats why Im liking the Van Halen song, little slower with longer notes to hold poses and its not slow enough to put you to sleep. However I do like more up beat rock but I think you almost have to keep up with the beat posing wise, and that isnt my plan up there. Just hit the power poses to show off the best features and get off stage, nothing fancy or showboating stuff i cant stand. Like the Robot or the Splits or flips and stuff...lol
TweetSee if you can find some old Frank Zane and Lee Labrada routines and take bits and pieces from them. I think Lee Labrada had one of the smootest pose to pose routines ever. His body just flowed from one pose to the next.
