you'd be surprised at how profitable pan handling is.

A group of my friends sat down a few months ago and averaged out the math on someone asking for money in new york city. we came with a yearly average of 100k if you were to ask money from 9am to 6pm 5 days a week.

I cant believe people will stoop that low to get money.

I gave a homeless guy $20 bucks one time, for some food and whatever clothes he could afford. He thanked me yada yada, and said god bless you. Well I pulled in the gas station about 1/2 a block away to fill up before getting on the interstate to go home from work and happen to see the guy go into a liquor store and buy a bottle of liquor. My blood started to boil and I approached him and snatched the bottle of liquor out of his hand and smashed it at his feet. You cant help anybody these days if they dont want or even care about themselvs to begin with. That was my only experience with the beggers and probaly my last.

there was a group of guys in new york city that pulled professional pan handling jobs. these guys would dress up in suits and go around askin other suits for money, sayin they just got robbed and they need money to get home. they would give them a business card and promise that they would send them the money back. these guys netted close to a million dollars in a few months.

No, what you need to do is calculate the guys who pan handle in Atlanta durign party time. I've sat there and watched those guy collect money left and right like it's nothing. They put on this sad face with sad clothing and they are very smooth about it, not all up in your face like the idiots do during the day. Also, ATL is such a big time place for X that the party crown is in such a 'feel-good' state of mind they just give the dudes money liek it's nothing. You combine southern hospitality with X and you got a pan handlers dream. LOL Hell, I've given those dudes money until I got an oportunityt o see just how fast they make money. I bet the good ones make 100k working about 30 hours a week. ATL has several 24 hour bars which means you have people who are high and drunk to pan handle from 10 PM to 8 AM. After that, it dies down. Seriously, a couple of these 24 bars are still jumping at 7 AM.

Really? I didn't think they made that much. 100k seems a bit exaggerated. That means they collect about $275 per day? I'd be suprised if they collected more than $50 a day. I drop a dollar to a homeless person only on days that I miss church and couldn't put it in the offering bin. Either way if they are making close to a full-time salary by doing this. I might have to start pan handling as well so I can collect gas money!!!! lol!!!

I had a kids tell me "why should I work when people just hand me money all day just for asking"? For some time I've been seeing this guy that sit on the curb by the Safeway, Looks like he's been through hell and he sits there on a lil blanket with his dog. The other day I seen him getting in a really nice newer car with this fine looking girl driving. Maby I need to get a blanket and a dog....
