TweetI have just a regular leather one that i got from a web site for like $30.00 maybe. You can get them at sports authority for a decent price i bet.
TweetWhat kind of belts do you guys use? Many of the guys I have asked have said the Inzer forever belt is the best one to get....but that thing is 67.00! Is anyone here using that one or you got any cheaper ideas?

TweetI have a 6 inch black Valeo leather belt that I bought for $20 at Big 5 in Encino, CA. Had it for about 5 years now. I also have a smaller Nike belt that I've had for about 15 years or more.

TweetI like a thick 10mm belt for heavy squats and deads. I try to use it as little as needed
Tweet^ I agree. The best belts imho have the same width in front and back since much of the support from a belt comes from pushing the abdominal contents back against your spine. The 10 mm thick powerlifting belts fit the bill.

TweetThat's what they suggested. A 10mm Inzer belt. I have no doubt that these belts are great, but do I really need to spend that much? Is it one of those things where I would have to buy 2 or 3 belts throughout my lifting where as the Inzer belt would be a one time purchase?

TweetOne good belt should be all you will ever need. You can get 10mm thick powerlifting belts online for much less than the Inzer. Shop around and you will find one for about 30 bucks.
I have the exact belt. I am limited on squats cuase i have bad knees from baseball back in HS and college. Works fine for me.
Tweeti have a forever belt as well, NOTHING will destroy that thing lol.

TweetNever used a belt and never needed it. I consider a belt for being used for a very few selected exercises thats it

Tweeti only bust it out for squats and deads...i'm not the guy that walks around the gym wearing it trying to hide my gut lol.
TweetI dont really use mine that much I guess, but i would be pretty surprised if you ever actually wore one out.
TweetThat is the only time I have ever used one. The belt doesn't hide my gut....it makes it worse...LOL!!
Not necessarily worn out but I have seen guys at the gym's whose belts come apart for whatever reason....stitching from the most part of what I have seen.

TweetInzer is the "cadillac" of weightlifting belts. Def a good recommendation, but they are very $$$$. The link I have below will get you just as good of quality of a belt at a lower price. If you buy one of the belts around the $40-50 range you shouldn't need another for years. Hell I used to even pull a sled with about 90lbs attached to it ran up and tied around my belt and still didn't wear it out. Def rugged and tough.
You want to get at least a 10mm thick belt and 4" wide.

TweetAgreed, and not many people use belts correctly. This is how you're supposed to use them as stated above by pushing out your abdomen against the belt.
