Shawn Frankl Training Footage
TweetTo follow is training footage of Shawn Frankl (198/220). Frankl is the number two ranked powerlifter in the world and has the fourth ranked bench press in the world on the Powerlifting Watch Power Rankings.
In the video, Frankl bench presses 545 pounds raw followed by 860 and 900 pounds shirted to a 2-board.
Larry Danaher holds the 198 class all-time raw bench press record of 565 pounds. Mike McDonald's 582 from 1979 is the mark to beat at 220.
Frankl owns both the 198 and 220 class all-time bench press records at 850 and 870 pounds, respectively.
While no official roster has yet been released, it looks like Frankl may next compete on February 6 at the APF Best of the Best in the Midwest in Lenexa, Kansas.
