I got a kick out of this.

This is pathetic, but darn funny when you think about it for a moment.

Two magazines, Country Living (95.99% white readership) and Ebony /Jet (99.99% black readership) did surveys on "WHAT DO PEOPLE FEAR MOST?"

The results were interesting, to say the least...

Country Living magazine's top three answers were:

      1. Nuclear war/terrorist attack in U.S
      2. Child/spouse dying
      3. Terminal illness

Ebony / Jet magazine's top three answers were:
      1. Ghosts
      2. Dogs
      3. Registered mail
No Kidding... And these are the people who put Obama over the top; what would you expect?

AND TO GO ALONG WITH ALL OF THIS, I'LL SHARE TWO QUOTES, ONE PITIFUL AND ONE GREAT!

"My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you'll join with me, as we change it."-- Barack Obama

''Life's tough, pilgrim, and it's even tougher if you're stupid.''-- John Wayne

the first one I would have to put child spouse first then nuclear war. When I was a young kid I lived in a poor area and there were just whites and blacks living in this apt complex, No other religions just whites and blacks. I had alot of good african american friends growing up in grade school and jr high but its so funny because I had a dog and my black friends would never come in my house unless I put the dog into the other room because they were afraid of the dog.We would have the dog chained up outside and when nieghbors would walk by who were black they would go totaly a different way to avoid the dog and I had a labador. The nicest fattes dog in the world and I mean fat. My mother would feed the dog human food in the morning and human food in the afternoon and night. I kid you not the dog woke up to a bowl of froot loops, her snack during the day was bologna. My mom didnt know what dog food was and my dog was fat.It lived 11 years but if it was in shape it would of lived alot longer. But anyway its wierd that they put dogs on that list

the guy with a desk behind mine is the same way. we went to lunch one day, a woman was jogging with a black lab, he saw the dog and jumped in the bed of my truck.

the dog was 50' away and on a leash, never even looked at him. i laughed my ass off

It would be interesting to see the demographics of the survey. I don't understand the logic in the fear of dogs, ghosts and registered mail being at the top of the list. On a side note even if all the blacks in America voted for Obama there is no way he gets elected without the help of other folks that thought their lives would actually change for the better.

As an American who just happens to be black I honestly felt it would be irresponsible to vote for a candidate solely on the basis of his race. I personally felt that McCain was the best choice and voted accordingly.
