TweetThat was an interesting video.
We like war!
TweetThis is the subject many don't understand or believe if it's explained to them. I was one of those unfortunately. I remember how adamant I was in supporting the wars and would tell people to stop talking to me if they were the opposite. Then, I took it upon myself to do as I always do everything else and research it by reading all I could get find in relation to it. Now I have a much different mindset on war. It is hardly worth debating on here as there are many more people who will not agree with the few of us who have read up on it. It is unfortunate though, because the facts are plain to see and easily accessible. Every war we have been in has made no sense. Pearl Harbor could have been prevented, and it even went to court because it was so obvious. Then there was the sinking of the Lusitania, which once again, should have never happened. What is our role in the wars? To build Democracies everywhere, but anybody educated on the founding of our country should know that the founders were very specific on the form of government they gave us, a Republic. Actually, the word Democracy is nowhere in the Constitution, and that is because the founders believed that Democracies are the most dangerous form of government in the world. Of course, they were speaking of a pure or direct democracy, and explained that it always leads to despotism or totalitarianism. So why is it that politicians and the media always refer to us as a democracy? Why is it that we are building democracies in all the countries we go to war with? People don't bother to think about this because they are ignorant on the history of our country. Article 4 Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution titled Republican Government guarantees every state in the Union a Republican form of government. It also guarantees to protect each of them against invasion, though Lincoln somehow overlooked that, or didn't agree with it. We have been brainwashed into believing that we live in a Democracy instead of a Republic. And then there is always a smartypants that will say we are a democratic Republic, thus a Democracy as a result. Not true! We are a Republic that uses a democratic voting process that has the Constitution to safeguard our individual and minority rights. No majority can pass a law that is unconstitutional, or at least that's how it's supposed to work. Therefore, we are still a Republic, but a democratic voting process does not mean we are a democracy. A democracy is no different than mobocracy where the only dissenting vote is at the end of the rope. A pure democracy means that 51 in favor overrule 49 against, regardless of individual rights. That is how it is in Europe, the socialist states, but not here in America. So for those who love war and nation building, at least ask yourselves why we are hellbent on installing democracies all over the world instead of Republics. Ask yourself why our elected scum constantly refer to us as a democracy and NEVER a Republic, exception Ron Paul. Name me one Republican besides him who refers to our government appropriately. Now I don't have the answer as to why they call us a democracy; I can only speculate. But it is an interesting fact. I presume it is because they hope to eventually turn us into a pure democracy in which they can get away more often with voting processes like we saw with the health care bill. Remember, 51 Senators voted in favor of the bill, and 49 opposed, but we all lost our freedom of choice on health care. That is the danger of a democracy at work.
Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master. George Washington
