Tweetawesome job Quirk!...You have everything it takes to do really well in competitions. You are definitely an example and an inspiration to people...Like it was said 'You dont have to see the whole staircase just the first step and then the next one"...Keep up the great work good buddy!!!
TweetOle Deeep has a private workout plan that you don't even have to leave the house for and you will work off the pounds-LOL. All BS aside- you have done a fantastic job and what your doing is working- so keep it going. It comes off alot slower then it comes on- kinda like clothes-hehe
Tweet^Deep - I can always count on you for the comic relief! Seriously - I worked out with Greg tonight at the gym and he busted my ass!! He showed me how to do things properly. My form wasnt quite there yet. We worked on chest and tomorrow night hes going to have me do some more compound exercises. He started me light to see my form. We did a lot in the 2 hours I was there and let me tell you, it was energizing!! Thanks again to everyone in my FG family!!

Good to hear! Did you take any measurements? When I had a trainer, she took measurements when we started, and about a month later she took them again. I was surprised and motivated when i saw how I had lost inches!! Compound moves are the best.
Tweetwow! keep truckin. It looks like you're well on the right route. I skimmed through some of the replies, so sorry if it was mentioned, but I noticed you said you do a routine in the gym, then start over. One thing to always keep in play is to change it up. Change the days you work different areas. reverse it each week, scramble it up, or just change your whole schedule once a month so you keep your body/muscles on their toes.
Kill it on the cardio. Hit the heart-rate that'll really produce the results you're after, and hold it out for 20minutes. Warm up to it for 5-10min, and cool down from it for a good 5-10min. The first thing that'll get burned off doing that everyday is the unwanted caloric intake for the day. along with biulding a kickin cardio system.
Great job though quirky!
TweetThat's good new Quirky. You are about in the same situation I was when I started competing. The gym I use to work out at had a handful of bodybuilders and not very many that competed. No women bodybuilders or competitors at all. One of the trainers did compete, so he was helping me with my training. Then he moved to a gym in another town, so it left me with no one. I got online and started trying to learn everything I could about competing and that's what brought me to the bb boards. Then a friend who use to compete volunteered to help me out. He's been helping me ever since. I also contact Cynthia James to do my posing suites, and she helped me with my training and diet as well. She's great!!! If you would like to get a suit from her go to her website Cynthia-James.com
Another friend of mine is an excellent diet coach. I bought a couple of her e-books on contest prep and dieting, etc. Her website is The Elite Physique. I post a lot of her articles here.
