TweetI'm a person that's not into tats at all. I wouldn't put one anywhere.
TweetGet a tattoo on your neck ??
I was thinking of just putting a chinese letter on the left side.. of my neck.. about 2" big.. nothing more..
I don't want the look of todays thug'ish "GANGSTA" or anything like that..its just something I wanted to get for a while..also do you think I would get discriminated if having one on my neck.. ?
TweetI'm a person that's not into tats at all. I wouldn't put one anywhere.
TweetAs long as it wouldn't interfere with any employment opportunites I'd go for it. Some employers wouldn't be too fond of it though particularly if you work with the public, so keep that in mind.
TweetI would think long and hard before you do that. I'd get full sleeves before I got one on my neck, at least I can cover up my arms. I did almost get one on the back of my neck once, my last name in script, still might do that down the road.
Anyways, my opinion is NO.
TweetNo way, ya allready know the stereo type that'll come with it.

Tweetmy opinion is any tat should beable to be covered by a short sleeve shirt
Tweetno way dude..if u are looking to get a job in an office, forget it.....
TweetDepends on what your career goals are? Even if you had a PhD the negative stereotypes associated with tattoos will hinder your potential for advancement in certain industries.
TweetTat's arn't my thing, just based on career objectives. If you think it won't hamper any plans you have for yourself or your future then go for it man. If I ever got one it would be on my achilles tendon running down the back where not many peeps could see on a normal day.
TweetSame here! They just don't do anything for me. But, with that said, every dude I see with a tat on his neck I haveto ask myself, why...why on the neck? But then again, what the heck do I know? LOL
Tweetonly if you are black and happen to play in the NBA (i.e. Allen Iverson)
Tweettatoos are fine, i have plenty, but NOT on the face, neck and hands. a large % of tattoo parlors won't do them because of the negative immage. it could change your life for the worse.
Tweetno, chinese letters are a fad, im actually getting a chinese letter i have on my back covered very soon. i have my 1st daughters foot and handprints on my back with her name and b-day, BJ Betts did them, hes a frriend of mine, you can find out about him on google, i get mine at august moon in DE
no, bad place, always visible
no, employers wouldnt like it, unless your interviewing for a tat artist position
no, marines, navy, airforce will make you remove it (you can still get in the army..lol) seriously, may or maynot be a factor for you.
thats my opinion and i am into tattoos, ultimately its up to you bro, like i said, this is my view on it. if you want it get it!
actually the guy that got my into lifting also got me into tattoos, heres his back, all done by BJ
TweetOn your neck or anywhere that you can't cover with clothes is asking to never get taken seriously professionally! Unless your a business owner already that's absolute business suicide!
I started a franchise of my business in NY and when one of the guys came down here to train I took him on an estimate. When we went on an estimate the first thing the customer made a remark about was his tattoo! He's a very clean cut, in shape, well dressed guy. But through all of that she still immediately spotted the tat.
Needless to say I told him he must wear longer sleeved short sleeve shirts to cover up his tats when going on estimates or doing any jobs. I personally don't have a problem with them, but with all of those damn conservative people out there they shiit themselves anytime something is not inline with thier conservative views!
Hope this helps.
TweetNah... don't do it bro. The negativity will definitely effect you. I have on on the back of my neck at about the traps and somethimes I wish I did not have it.
But I can cover it up. On the side or your neck........forget it.
