TweetGerald Rudolph Ford, the 38th president of the United States, died Tuesday. He was 93 years old.
No cause of death was stated by his family in their announcement. Ford had battled pneumonia in January 2006 and underwent two heart treatments — including an angioplasty — in August at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. He died at 6:45 p.m. PST at his home in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
"My family joins me in sharing the difficult news that Gerald Ford, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather has passed away at 93 years of age," Ford's wife, Betty Ford, said in a brief statement issued from her husband's office.. "His life was filled with love of God, his family and his country."

TweetThat dude was a man's man for sure. Two time All-American football player at Michigan. He was on two National Championship Football teams as the starting center. He was an all around athlete and played like 5 different sports. He turned down a contract with both the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions to go to law school. RIP!
Tweet.....and look at what we're stuck with now.
Leaders did what others weren't willing to do, now they enjoy the things that others do not.

Tweetall I can think about is snls skit right now, rip
TweetYeah, the big difference is the damn Lobyists! Those guys have screwed the entire political system up. You can blame the presidents but the bottom line is, they 'all' are human and have allowed them selves to be swayed to favor special interest groups. It really does suck because they aren't working for us, they are working for their financial supporters. I still to this day wish I could have seen what a guy like Ross Peroe (sp) would ahve done. He was a successful stubborn old man stuck in his ways and I honestly think he would have told these special interest people to go phuk themselves. But, when threats on your family cause you to drop out of a race, that pretty much tells you how shady the entire system really is. Just think about it, if you are rich, you can hire ex-CIA, ex-FBI, ex-special forces and ex-police officers as your personal body guards. So, just how bad of a threat would one have to receive to drop out of a race?
