I hear some days the wait is 2-3 hours for some of the coasters !

That is true. I've waited 2 hours to ride a coaster there as a teenager. God knows why? There are so many good ones.

The best time during the Summer (non-school) months is probably early in the week. Mon, Tues, Weds. If you want to avoid that all together, I'd hit it before June or after August. September 1st ought to be a great day.
