TweetWe looked at "Curves...". Look long and hard and talk to other owners before you do it. There are reason's why we didn't.

TweetOpen a strip club for women that men pay to watch them workout and shower and stuff. Of course the women are your employees, and work 8 hour shifts 'pretending' to work hard and get sweaty, and frolic nude in the fully viewable locker room and jacuzzi. You could pass out tissues and handy packs of hand-lotion as well, but that may be over the top for most communities.
TweetLMFAO...you never cease to amaze me Auriflex and to think you are a MOD now...scary!
What were some of the reasons you didn't choose Curves?

TweetI totally agree with this. No need to reinvent the wheel if an idea isn't forthcoming and you still have the urge to run your own company.Originally posted by monstercojones
if you have a good business sense, buy a failing business in a good location and turn it around. its very profittable.

I have interests in Strip Clubs, Music and fitness. Maybe a strip club but I would get in trouble with that.
Strip clubs you have to pay a 10% street tax to you know who. I know because one of my oldest friends own 3 of them here in Toronto. Laundrymats are good investments especially if it's located in a neighbourhood full of apartment buildings. Another friend of mine, owns 2 and in the downtown area and he clears 2 k at least a month.

Tweetany kind of service work will make you money if you bust your ass. i would stay away from strip clubs . people are lazy , they want convienence. dry cleaners ,bars, resturants, pool hall , quick lube oil change, hair, nail ,tan etc etc. if it were me i would take a drive around the proposed area and see what it was really lacking. if thier are very few cleaners in the area or auto service shops , you can get a quicker foothold. the lowest overhead would be up to the need for good road frontage and the equipment needed to start.
TweetDoes anybody think this "Curves for Women" is a good idea?
TweetThe way I look at it if you aim at just one sex you are putting limits on the buisness.(missing out on half the people in men.) If I was going to open a gym I would open somthing geared toward the family.I know around where I live none of gyms offer a good family rate. That is why I go to the YMCA.I t sux but It is cheaper for my whole family at the Y than just me at nice gym.Originally posted by TheGame1976

TweetHey Game, my mother actually works for Curves, only for a few months but likes it there. Especially at certain times of the year, like spring, it gets more busier. Like they said above, you can go to the website and talk to other curves owners and see what they think. They do pretty good business, but I can't see making a whole lot of money there. But they're a lot of grand openings of those stores around my area in the past couple of years, there's another one about to open up in Middletown soon.
The strip club idea is not bad, especially if it's a juice bar, I know a few owners of strip clubs and they don't work hard trust me and make a good amount of money. Hey you're in jerzey with me, we can open one up together, I can get a pretty decent loan and I have some moneyPM me if ya like here or at MMZ, but look into it also, heavily. it takes a lot of research for something like this.
TweetAnything with a good name recognition will make you money in the beginning I think - unless you absolutely suck at management. The majority of the populace enjoys familiarity.
I would buy into an existing place, or become a franchisee of something familiar.
I sell to many business people in my profession, and aside from factory owners, doctors and attorneys, owners of food-services type businesses seem the most sucessful in my area. Everywhere from fast food owners to large established restaurants, to even the smaller businesses that keep them stocked.
Jewelers make money too - you could be a jeweler.
TweetI am lookin into a sub shop. www.newyorksubs.com the sandwiches are better than subway or blimpie and the area i am lookin at has only a carl's jr.
