I think that holidays HAVE become so impersonal and fake because it's all about the brand of card you buy, or the size of the diamond, or what label is on the dress! America has become a materialistic society and it makes me sick! What ever happened to just making cards for each other, and doing stuff special for each other, or just taking the time to pamper our loved ones with candlelit baths, followed by nice massages, (which usually leads to sex anyway) or just plain spending time talking to the person you love?!?

I've always said if a girl ever gave me shit about a gift or ring or anything I would dump their ass in a heartbeat! All these women are all tied up in this who has the prettiest ring bullshit, or who has the best prada purse! Oh no it's not a louie vatone! WHO GIVES A SHIT!!!!!!

People need to shove their hallmark holidays up their ass, and do some real soul searching and remember what holidays are truly about!!

Another thing is guys usually set themselves up for failure! They spoil a women with gifts from day 1 and wonder why for the rest of their lives they're expected to buy them stuff, or spend exorbitant amounts of money on them. Maybe if they just took the time to do something nice instead they would appreciate it just as much, and not expect stuff! Plus if they *****ed that they didn't get gifts you wouldn't want them anyway, because obviously a present is worth more to them than your attention!!
