TweetHeres some of my son feeding a Giraffe and petting a rabbit at the zoo. Also one of my son and our Greyhound. My goal is to tell my son "when you can out run your dog, you'll be fast". Yea, I'm gonna be a sarcastic dad.

Tweetoops...i was wrong...the one in the sheets is Crippy too...here is one the is definitely Abby but you have to find her - she is hidden in my laundry with Crippy being an onlooker and the second one she is secretly going after Myla's tail but Myla is obviously not phased
GO GATORS!!!
TweetYeah, they do look alike. I think your is a little shorter. The one we adopted (former racer) is like 32 to 33 inches tall. He's big. Anythime I'm somewhere with him and there's another greyhound he towers over them. But aren't they cool to watch run. We take Cairo to a large ball field and he just takes off. I've never seen and animal move that fast in real life. Mine's about 6 years old now.Originally Posted by chelle Belle
Is the Italian greyhound as dossile as the other? Mine just hangs out, he's like an 85 pound cat. He jumps on the couch, curls up and falls asleep. He follows us everywhere and he always rubs up against us. I also love the fact that he doesn't lick everyone. Best dog I've ever had, well, maybe a tie with a lab I had as a kid but as an adult he's the best dog.
TweetFemale Greyhounds are not typically as large(heavy) or as tall as the males. Timbers is 74 pounds. I adopted her from Jax FL about two weeks after her last race. The adoption agency is located across the parking lot from the track. They are really good to the dogs there.Originally Posted by T-Man007
She still loves to run. She does large figure 8's in our back yard at least once a day. After that, she's a classic lazy hound.
Timbers likes to lean on us. We call it her way of "hugging" us.
Timbers is not a licker either unless I have food on my face and even then she would be very hesitant. Our greys do have a lot in common but I bet it's the common traits of greys.
Our Italian Grey, Amber, is a lot like most little dogs. A bit on the hyper side and nervous/fidgety. She loves to run too and has a very high prey drive. To the dismay of my little girl, Amber brought in the house a half eaten wild bird. Only a leg adn wing was left after she was done. She was so proud of herself.
Yes, they are great dogs. Only thing I'd change would be to have them be more protective/guard like. If someone tried to hurt me, Timbers would run. She's a big chicken. LOL!
