I agree Local.....As Christians, we are called to spread the Gospel. We sew the seed and God reeps that which is ready to be reeped.

That's were you have been stared astray, the Bible has not been proved false, which would make Christianity true. People make claims that it's not true but they are only accuasation with no facts to back them. The Bible has historical, scientific, achealogical and phophetic facts that people said are untrue, when the real fact was that they did have that information yet. There were people saying that certain citys that the Bible mentioned didn't exect because there was no record of them. Then archeology uncovered those citys and the Bible was proven true again. Columbus got the idea that the earth was round from the Bible.

Isaiah 40:22 "It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in."

If you say the Bible isn't true it's because you haven't looked at the facts that prove it is true.

Who's imposing anything, did it line up to Scripture and in this case no. When making claim or accusation there needs to be facts. We all have ideas but ideas aren't always ture there just ideas.

That's what's wrong with a lot of politics there are lots of accusation with no facts. Then when facts come out that prove those accusation wrong, people disregraud it and still make the accusation as if they are true. Some people aren't open to hearing the turth they just want to stay in their world of beliefs weather they're ture or not because it makes them feel better about themselves.

Some believe that "truth" is subjective. That it doesn't matter what you believe as long as you believe in something. Just another one of the great lies that our so called advanced society has conned the masses into buying.

Yup it's the mind game they've got people to believe. Your belief is only as good as what you believe in, if it's not factual then your brlief is in vien. The same goes for what you don't believe, just you don't believe it doesn't mean it's not true. People that don't believe in God think that some how that makes Him none existent, because they don't believe in Him.

Here's something of interest, God said He would scatter the children of Isreal to all nations

Ezekiel 36:19 "So I scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed throughout the countries; I judged them according to their ways and their deeds."

Then promises to bring them back to the land from all the nations.

Ezekiel 36:23-24 "And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord," says the Lord God, "when I am hallowed in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land."

Now here's the interesting part The Jews had no home land for almost 1900 years. They were scattered among the nation in 70 AD when Titus came to Jerusalem. In 1948 they were given their homeland back. No other nation of people has kept their language, culture and religion for more 300 years in the history of man, without a homeland. There judgement from God, was their being pursecuted in many lands. Yet for every ****** that came along God perserved them so He could return them to their homeland. No matter how many Jews were killed they still remained Jews. God did this to show He is God, there is no other.

Does the Da Vinci Code have anything that acurate in it?

guy, your missing the entire point.

first, the Bible has NOT NOT NOT been proven true. just because archeologists found the cities that were MENTIONED in the Bible, does not make the entire Bible true.

now, granted there are elements that are historically accurate. there was a man named Jesus. we know for sure that he was crucified by the Jews. however, THERE IS NO HISTORICAL BASIS ie FACT, that proved he rose from the dead, walked on water, turned one loaf of bread into thousands, or any of that. period.

additionally, the four Gospels, by which we have most of the information (unproven) about Jesus, WERE ALL WRITTEN NEARLY A CENTURY AFTER HIS DEATH. aside from that, even those stories were not based on some historical record, they were based on oral tradition. (thats the passing of stories from one generation to the next) this type of historical record has its obvious implications.

according to your arguments, if it doesnt line up with scripture, then it is wrong. your basing that on some misguided belief that EVERYTHING in the Bible is absolute truth (not truth on a spritiual level, but truth on a factual level.) thats simply wrong. if you dont believe me, go to your local parrish, and ask your priest about it. even he will tell you that not everything in the Bible is factual. what the majority of the Bible teaches, are stories that must be used as metaphors for life. Science has told us that the Earth was not created in 6 days. just didnt happen. adam and eve were not created out of dust. etc, etc, etc. its called a figurative translation. you cant take the Bible literally.

now, back to my originial argument. while the Bible has NOT been proven fact, is has also NOT been proven fiction. do you understand? there is not way to prove that GOD exists, but there is no way to prove that he doesnt.

how about the Palestinians? , Tibetans?, Basque?, Welsh?

does God hate them?? does God love the Jews more than any other culture?

going along that argument, the one about how God gave the Jews their homeland to show that he is God, why does he allow millions of people to die everyday?

the answer is that God doesnt choose certain people to get certain things! its called free will!! the Jews got their homeland because they won a war, three of em, and they have the bomb.

      What war is that?

God love all people, they die daily because of sin, sin is decaying the body to the point of death.

Can you give some sort of quote, Scripture, article or book to back what you are saying. Because shooting from the hip doesn't prove anything.

Yes there is free will but God is sovrien and does as He pleases, man can't judge God, God judges men. Free will give you the choice to choose His ways or your own.

Can you name an other race of people that has had a promise from God, had no homeland for almost 1900 years, then returned to thier land as God promised and give the souce of that information?

The Bible is absolute truth. Does that mean that every single word is to be taken literally? No. Some of the language is literal, some metaphorical, etc... The 6 day Creation doesn't mean 6 24 hour periods. The Hebrew word for day is much like our meaning of the word day, it could be a 12 hour period (sun up to sun down) it could be a 24 hour period or it could be an indeffinate period of time such as the day of the dinosaurs, day of the romans, etc... it's pretty hard to figure out what a "day" is to an infinite being.
