TweetWhat's wrong with your wrist/forearm?
TweetAnyone else got a fukkin problem with this??? Yeah, yeah, I know that's what I'm supposed to do with this wrist/forearm thing I got goin on but DAMN IT, that's like the worst thing to tell someone like me. I gotta have something to do, I gotta have an active role in the rehab/recovery process. I know it's prolly just an ego thing or whatever but I swear I can feel myself getting weaker with every missed or halfassed workout. This sucks the old chocolate starfish big time!
TweetWhat's wrong with your wrist/forearm?
TweetA little over a week ago, I was benchin (I was planning on doing a meet next month) the plan was to hit 495 + chain for 3 reps, on the second rep my right wrist bent backwards slightly and it felt like it broke. Strange thing is I can do squats and deads without any problem, but any curls or any type of pushing movement just kills it. The only time the wrist hurts is when I'm actually holding weight like in the bench, the rest of the time it's in the back of my hand and shooting up my forearm. I got an appt with my sports med. doc on Mon. though.
TweetSOMETIMES ITS NOT THE BONE BREAKING BUT THE SOFT TISSUE DAMAGE THAT HURTS THE WORSE. HOPE IT GETS BETTER!
O2
Tweetyes i have the worst problem with this kite...I hurt my left shoulder pretty bad and it still gives me probs. Was supposed to take 2 weeks off and rest it....LMAO um sure. took 4 days and was back in the gym..luckily I worked around it and it was fine.....
This might be a good time to hit some legs and other rhings just to keep the blood flowing which will aid in repair of your wrist...Worked for me when I had major recon surgery on my right shoulder...I was benching in 3 months and wasnt supposed to touch weights upper body for 5-6 months, i think cardio and doing legs light helped speed up the recovery process.
TweetWOW! That sucks! Nothing is worse than when you have come very far with lifting, and your forced to do virtually nothing while you watch yourself slowly lose all that you worked so hard for. Good thing is you'll gain it back quick once you healed. Sorry to hear that bud!
TweetCorrodo go and get a deep tissue massage. I had that done when I had severe shoulder pain that hurt for nearly a year. After the deep tissue massage it healed itself within a week. A year later no problems! Knock on wood!
Also I highly advise making sure the girl that gives the massage isn't fugly. It makes it much more relaxing. I can't see being relaxed if someone that repulses me is touching me! But seriously it's definitely worth it!
Tweetyeah, that's pretty much what I'm doing I was just really looking forward to this meet in Feb. and hitting that 550@181, it would have been a very nice pr.
Tweetyou know i heard this too....well i had an abcess drained in my left shoulder...(nasty story) ....60ml of puss and **** and i was back in the gym two weeks later and kept getting this shooting pain in my delt...mri-nothing...doc said it sounds like the labrum was bothered when it was so swollen due to the abcess and i could of frayed it a bit...but not sure..for the most part its okay and acts up once in awhile...i am going to def get a massage her soon bro...good idea. Worth the try and if anything i need it for all muscle groups...and I have just the girl in mind
Sorry to jack your thread Kite...lol back to your original thread...sounds like honestly TIME OFF (know you dont want to hear it) is what you need...we can be some stubborn mofos so at times its better to just take the rest needed and come back full force bro.
TweetThat sucks bro, big time. Is it possible to wrap it without pain? If not, then just let it get better. If it get's worse, it could sideline you for a couple months. Better safe than sorry.
TweetHell no, I tried that Mon., I even had athletic tape on under the wraps.
TweetSorry to hear bra, but ya gotta take'er easy. I remember when I broke my right hand, was weird squeezin' the shurbert left handed. lol !
