TweetDumping the bowl over his head I meant to say.
TweetSo I just sat through a infomercial about the starving people in the world, you know the scene mangly lil babies covered in flies and the groups of people sipping some milk looking stuff outta an old plastic bowl ? So right after that comes a spaghetti sauce commercial with these two lil kids, one wont eat it and the other one is dumping the bowl over his and f'ing bathing in the s#it ? Go figure. Which got me to thinking about the other day I went shopping, I had a lil hand basket with just a few things I could afford at Safeway and the cashier asked me if I would donate to the food bank, I had to think for a minute,..you're an expensive over priced asshole grocery store and you're asking me if "I" can afford to make a donation ? Then boast to everybody how "you" helped out the community ? Wow !

TweetIt is very sad. I just signed up at a local church, that houses the homeless, on Saturday nights. Because I love to cook, and help, I will cooking up meals and working on a shift that night. They also do free haircuts for them once a month. Might have to dust off my shears. I always give at stores even though they take the credit, I still feel anything can help

Tweetwith all the gov programs that are out there, we shouldnt have to do any additional help. i dont have a problem helping and that is not what i am saying. when a woman that has 6 kids with no husband lives in gov housing and gets a check that is more than what a hard working waitress makes. then why in the hell should we have to pitch in? an average waitress that works hard for 40 hours a week can make over 60k a year. that's a lot of freaking money. i have a buddy that opened two new diners in our city. he tells me that he has 150 new positions that need to be filled and he only got 60 or 70 applications for the jobs. why is that? because gov assistance will pay more than he is able to. so we have food banks, gov housing and all the other assistance for people that are in need. so why in the hell do they need additional help from everyone else? i just dont understand how this is happening and why we dont hold people more accountable. homeless people homeless vets and other things while all this money is being tossed around. unreal
again i am not knocking on those that pitch in a little extra money or time to help these people out. i am saying how the fuck is our gov allowing this to be needed?

TweetI donate if I have extra cash on me.everytime esp at food lion when they do.the food box.i. don't care who gets the credit as long as it feeds another person
TweetThere are a couple of spots in the towns around me where we have homeless people with signs. While I won't give them money because we all think they will do no good with (I'll admit it) I usually give them some of my leftovers that I had packed for my work meals if I haven't finished them. In all the times I have offered people food I think I've only ever had one turn it down. I do sometimes donate at the cash register, it just depends on my state of mind at the time.
