What did you think of that?
As a young kid, I idolized Bruce Jenner. I dreamed of being a decathlete. I ran hurdles and threw the shot put in high school because I wanted to be bruce jenner. I had his autobiography, his picture on my wall. He seemed like the epitome of manhood. Who would have ever thought that he was struggling with gender identity his entire life?

I have to admit, I was very surprised by what Jenner had to say. I watched the interview more out of curiosity and assumed Jenner was off his rocker as a result of being around the Kardashians. But the interview taught me a lot about what transgender people go through. I had no idea. Jenner said he has struggled with this his entire life. He started putting on his moms dresses when he was like 5 years old. Makes ya think that maybe people really are born that way. Instead of laughing at Jenner as a circus freak starving for attention, I came away with a newfound respect for Bruce Jenner and other transgender folks. I got an education from watching that last night. I am definitely a lot more sympathetic than before. I am glad I dont struggle with gender identity, but I cant judge anyone who does. I think that interview opened a lot of peoples eyes.
