Tweetmy hypothesis is they want their own label. It is an identity thing as stated before. I work with a lesbian and 2 gay dudes in my office. the lesbian is always *****ing about how men keep her down and we are all dogs and such and the gay guys are always happy and.............well gay.

i am certainly not stereotyping lesbians as man hating butch's i just think they feel their situation is different than gay men's so they want their own moniker and gay men said it was OK as men control everything anyway. lol
