The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) has shared an update on FDA’s position on N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) supplements, namely: Retailers shouldn’t act prematurely.
In July, CRN states, FDA sent out warning letters informing companies that the FDCA prohibits companies from marketing products containing NAC as dietary supplements because the ingredient was first approved as a drug.
Stupidity at it's finest by FDA
TweetI heard something to the effect that FDA says if a supplement is effective at treating a specific disease, then it should be classified as a drug, only gotten with a prescription. N-A-C works so good that the government wants it banned for OTC sales. . Well, I got me 7 bottles just in case. LOL
TweetUnless I searched wrong, You can no longer find NAC on Amazon. Amazon is a tool of the communist government.

Tweetthat's cool truenutrition sells both the powder and the caps. hell if they actually do end up being communists and pulling it, we should be able to still get it through the rc companies like everything else.
like you said though, if a supplement is doing better than meds are then big pharms starts their lobbying and the fucktards in dc start taking shit away. hell you cant make money off of healthy people.
another funny i just thought of and i actually asked a doc to write me a script for it a couple years back. you see the varcepa(sp) pharm fish oil on commercials on tv? well i though hell it has to be bad ass and pure so why not let my insurance cover the cost and not have to pay as much for it. doc says haha fat chance, insurance wont cover it for anyone. smh
