Mid morning, I had to go downtown to our new office to shoot a commercial. Not a fan of being on camera but we made it fun! Here's me with all the makeup on after we were done...

Re: Love2liftkat's training log
Dropped hubby off at the airport at 3:45 this morning...gym doesn't open until 5am so I drove to the high school near my house planing to run around the track...Gates were locked and there actually wasn't even a track around the field anymore. [emoji20] Decided to drive to the lake and walk/run the dam. The goal was to run but I wasn't as successful as I had hoped. So I ended up mostly walking (pretty fast though) and just enjoying the view/quiet time talking to God! I thoroughly enjoyed it!!

Slept in this morning and went to the gym after work. Going after work always reminds me why I train in the early morning! There are waaaay too many people all over the place. There is also a trainer that has decided to start SHOUTING numbers as he counts for his clients. It's loud enough to be heard across the very large gym. Even through my ear buds blaring in my ears.

Re: Love2liftkat's training log
Thank you for checking @ gums01. It has been a while. I am doing well. Just returned from a vacation in San Diego with my family. I also to this time off from training. I will get back to logging my training. Nutrition has been held about the same. Weight is slowly dropping! The vacation was much needed mentally and physically to just break away from being so busy all of the time! I am ready to get back in the gym Monday!!

Welcome! Glad you're here! Thank you! It was the furthest we've ever gone and truthfully only the second one we've ever really taken other than a weekend trip! We are trying to make it a point to force vacations at least once a year because time is precious and disappears quickly!! You should take one- even if it's a day trip or a stay-cation!

Re: Love2liftkat's training log
Man, I was pumped and excited to get back into the gym Monday! My pull day went well on Monday but my push day today was frustrating. I am having a lot of trouble with my joints. I had mentioned this in another thread a couple of weeks ago. My hands, feet, and knees are mostly where I'm feeling the discomfort. My knees hurt to the point of making it very difficult to do any leg work. I wrapped my knees this morning as I was warming up on squats. They felt ok until I got to 135. [emoji35] Very frustrated, I tried a couple of other exercises with no luck. Went on to bench/shoulder work. That part went well! Finished up with ab work and cardio. I rode the bike for cardio hoping that would give my legs some work without bothering my knees.

great to see you back kat. couple of suggestions for you: 1-controlled labs orange triad. it's cheap and it works miracles. 2-check your fat intake accurately. if your healthy fat intake is too low it could be drying out your joints a bit and causing them to get angry at you 3- screaming hot toast cream and or artic balm on your joints. you may smell like an old person but it will keep the area warm and the blood flowing. 4- you may need some additional time off. those are the thoughts and suggestions that pop into my head for you

Sorry you're having joint pain. I know it, I get it too sometimes; mostly when I'm dehydrated and lacking healthy fats in the diet (omegas, etc).
Don't let it get you down. Looks like you had a good vacay, get afterrr it!

Thanks guys! It is possible I let my fats get down too low. They have been in the 40's or under most days. I have been taking multi's and fish oils. I take the medivin packs. I am also taking transform forged joint repair supplement. I was able to squat 3 sets of 135x5 last Friday. Nothing spectacular but it felt good to finally put a plate back on there. Things are going well this week. Just playing it smart with my joints. Finally got some knee sleeve to see if that will help keep them warm and more comfortable. Hands/wrist felt good enough for some push press' and bench this morning!

Re: Love2liftkat's training log
Forgot to add I've been sticking to cycling for my cardio. I attempted to jog Tuesday but it killed my knees so I stopped that. Just trying to keep adjusting and pushing forward without letting it effect me.

I got bad knees too. Did crossfit for awhile and OLY lifting but my body couldn't hang. Back to the good old bodybuilding (it's where I belong anyhow).
I really like the stairs for cardio but I gotta start running again... :/

i know your forged stuff is from your guys companies and it probably is a really good supp but i will tell you this: i have tried almost every joint support supp under the sun and nothing has worked as well for me as the orange triad has. i can tell a huge difference when i switch to another company or even if i miss a dose. give it a try if you can, it makes all the difference in the world for everyone i have known to use it

you have also been running and training really hard haha. i am pretty sure you had just added in the additional running. that beats the crap out of both my knees and back big time. i know it may seem like a small addition but every little edge helps for me and i am always looking for things to improve on comfort and less pain without medications

Re: Love2liftkat's training log
Alright so here's about where I am. As I've said before, I'd like to drop about 20 lbs and really lean out tremendously. I am not happy with the amount of fat I'm carrying right now. Trying my best to not get discouraged between the weight and pain. I know it's nothing compared to real life problems that people have but just a goal to fix things and be better!
