      Shirts get bigger numbers, no doubt. But there is still the element of technique when using them. If the average lifter threw on gear for a lift, they probably wouldn't get the same results without lots of practice. Benching is all about form, with or without gear.

      With that said, I agree raw benches are more impressive. Not only do you have to be strong, your joints have to be able to take the weight.

        I hate when people talk shirt about something they have NO CLUE about!

        Let me just say this, benching is a shirt is much harder then raw very much harder.

        People just hate on what they can't do!
