Let me know what you guys think. 03 GMC Sierra 5.3 V8, bose system, custom 2 tone paint (the previous owner had it done and its not a gmc color.....so custom hahaha!) charcoal interior, has the towing button and all the wiring but no towing hitch and its the SLE package, not the SLT package as I stated before.

The difference between the GMC and chevy are a few things. For one the interior has a few refined upgrades that the chevy doesn't. The front grill and fascia are different like mentioned before and that's it.Originally posted by crombie09 View Post

Just for your own information the tow button does not make the truck faster contrary to popular belief. I ran my truck at the track a few times with the tow button on, and a few with it off. I was slower with it on by almost .3 in the 1/4 mile. My fastest I ran yet was a 15.372@88.38 in the 1/4mile. But I've got a reg cab 2wd with the 5.3 V8 so my truck is super light.
Your truck stock should run about a 16.0 in the 1/4mile. But is capable of atleast 14's easy depending on what your trying to spend.
Your main problem with the truck holding it back is Torque management which you can get rid of with the Diablosport programmer I mentioned before.
Secondly traction sucks on trucks. If you add some bigger rims with lower profile tires your traction will be much better. I went from stock 16's to lightweight 20's with Kumho Ecsta performance tires and it was like night and day difference. Before the upgrade I used to just sit and spin in the rain, and from a dead stop I'd sit and spin also. After the upgrade I can floor it in the rain and it just takes off without spinning! Plus the handling of the car was 10 times better. Even my wife noticed a dramatic difference from the passenger seat both in acceleration and turning.
Like I said before if you plan on customizing it tell me what your looking for speed, handling, looks and I'll point you in the right direction.Comment
