    A Japanese champ would be great for both the UFC and the Japanese people who've been such rabid NHB fans for so long.

      true, they have tried to bring up some Japanese fighters but they just always come up short. i loved the pride days in Japan. it was way better than the UFC.

        I remember watching lots of those early Pancrase fights as well.

        Gotta love Pride. Nothing like no drug testing and a soccer kick to the head of a downed opponent.
