Seven fighters joined UFC president Dana White at the UFC 179 post-fight press conference: Darren Elkins, Beneil Dariush, Gilbert Burns, Fabio Maldonado, Phil Davis, Chad Mendes, and Jose Aldo.Performance of the Night was awarded to light heavyweight Fabio Maldonado and lightweight Gilbert Burns. Maldonado posted his 14th career knockout victory against Hans Stringer during the main card. Burns highlighted the UFC FIGHT PASS prelims with his first round submission of UFC newcomer Christos Giagos. wish i had seen that aldo mendes fight. sounds like ther rest of the card was "meh"
