    clay guida gets booed

    his game plan to hop around and not engage maynard may have been the best way to not take any damage and maybe get a decision. luckily maynard won a split decision.

    i was rooting for guida in the beginning but i cant stand that style of little punches and run. its like a baseball game where all they do is bunt. playing it 100% safe (as safe as you can in a fight) may win decisions but it looses fans. by the 2nd i was screaming for maynard to KO him.

    i am now a maynard fan. when he dropped his hands and taunted guida into hitting him. that was greatness. guida was hopping away from his punches so his power was greatly diminished.

    Yeah, I have always liked Guida but he took it way too extreme last night. After the 2nd round, I was pulling for Maynard and I absolutely LOVED it when he dropped his hands and took Guida's shots!!!!! Especially after Guida was saying he was going to knock Maynard out. I gained a lot more respect for Maynard last night and he deserved the win too!


    And hats off to Mirgliotta!!! Finally a ref steps in and tells the fighter to fight! He is quickly becoming my favorite ref as well.

      Any idea what was being said between Guida and Maynard outside the cage after the fight? It looks like Guida said some things that Maynard didn't like

        Guida is going awayh from fighting and its going to hurt him.He will get cut one day

            Clay is one of the most boring fighters on the planet. I hate how he fights. I kept wanting the BULLY to get ahold of him and bash his face in with knees and elbows. Sadly it didn't happen to my liking. If guys like Guida can be a main event in MMA then Women like Ronda Rousey should at least be able to fight in MMA.

              Last fight I went to was the Ronda Rousey vs. Meisha Tate fight and let me tell you that every single women's fight that night far surpassed the men's in aggressiveness and pure action. Women get in there and let it all go with no regard. This event turned me into a Women's MMA fan for life. I met Ronda the next day at the Arnold Classic and she was so down to earth. Truly a class act and great for the sport IMO.

                        HAHAHA! he had beautiful footwork. but he needed to get in and throw more combos. dominick cruz is good at this. he gets in and stays there long enough to do damage then gets out. remember kalib starnes vs nate quarry? kalib just ran. it was hilarious what nate did.

                            When Dana rips into u saying that fight sucked and he wouldn't advise fighting that way again he's definitely way close to getting cut. Thought lay and pray was a boring style of fighting, damn outright running away is boring and bush. Guida used to at least engage and throw while avoiding contact. Punk ass beeyotch

                              haha. yeah greg jackson trains does the best for his guys to win while having the least chance of getting caught. the prob is its a fine line. hard to win a fight going backwards so you must engage more and actually do damage. like i said before cruz is good at it. he goes in for 3-6 shot combos and moves out like ali. then goes it again after 2-3 feints. some say its boring but the days of 2 top guys going in and slugging toe to toe are gone
