Jon "Bones" Jones, the UFC’s light heavyweight champion, was arrested early Saturday morning in upstate New York on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Jones’ manager confirmed the arrest, first reported by TMZ, in Binghamton, N.Y.
“While the facts of this situation are still being gathered and situated,” Jones’ manager, Malki Kawa, said in a statement, “First Round Management fully supports Jon, and we are asking for fans and media to respect the privacy of Jon and his family during this time."
The release said neither Jones nor his representative would be granting interviews.
According to TMZ, law-enforcement sources said Jones, 24, totaled his Bentley when he crashed into a pole. The sources said the fighter was arrested by a Broome County sheriff and released on bail a few hours later.
Jones’ most recent fight was April 21, when he won a unanimous decision over Rashad Evans at UFC 145.
