Chael Sonnen told ESPN1100/98.9 FM in Las Vegas this week that he is not willing to wait for Anderson Silva to sign on the dotted line.

He is more than willing to fight the champ for a second time (obviously, but Silva is on the mend from an injury and still has not given any indication of when he will likely be ready to return to action and defend his title.

Chael loses to Munoz and then we don't have to hear this anymore. It's funny, you call the guy out and you keep calling the guy out...then when Dana says "Okay, you got the rematch", Chael says, "Well....uh, well.....uh, I'm not waiting on him." Give me a break. Either S$$t or get off the pot. Did you think you were getting a rematch while he was injured....again?

Chael and Munoz for #1 contender makes sense to me. Is it me or is Munoz thinking he needs a title shot a little soon. He just did an interview and one of his points to why he is #1 is that he lost to okami..wtf?

Well, he's only lost 1 out of his last 7 and that was to Yushin. I don't think it't too soon really. I mean, he is on a roll in a division that has been wiped out. So if he gets by Sonnen, he deserves the title shot.

But I don't see anything wrong with him getting the next shot either because, like he said, Chael had his chance and got stopped. Then Sonnen went on to beat 1 guy that really hadn't beat any top guys (unless you count Leben as a top guy, but then Munoz destroyed him), and he gets the shot back? Sonnen was given the shot because it would make the UFC more money. Munoz deserves it more right now, IMO. I just think that if you get a title shot, and you get finished (not a close decision, not a bad decision, but finished), then you fall down the ladder and need to work your way back up. You shouldn't get to fight 1 fight against a non-ranked opponent, and then get the rematch for your next fight. Sonnen's mouth has gotten him the title shot...period.

Now with that being said, Munoz beats Sonnen anyway and gets the title shot regardless, IMO

True, money and what fans want to see go hand and hand. It is obvious that is driving the match making more so than fighter rankings.
