My biggest problem isn't Brian Stann. My biggest concern going into this fight is that his coach is my mentor. A man named John Bardis. It's a major conflict for me. I don't know if Brian Stann can figure out how to beat me, but I do know that John Bardis does know how to beat me,” he said.
“I'm a wrestler – John Bardis is a distinguished member of the wrestling Hall of Fame. There's nothing in my bag of tricks he doesn't know how to counter. I love the guy. He treats me like a son. He's a great man. He's more than a friend. He's a mentor to me.
“I'm saying this very light-heartedly, but if I could change one thing,I would take coach John Bardis out of his corner and stick him up in the stands and make him watch us. I'm not happy that he's going to be coming up with Brian's game plan.”

That's a legitimate concern. IMO, that will give Stann a pretty big advantage....now let's see if he can implement the game plan to beat Sonnen.
